Music truly is an universal language! What an opportunity for Glenwood High School Wind Ensemble to host and share their love of music with Junge Blaserphilarmonie Sachen and Illinois Wesleyan University. Our Wind Ensemble had the opportunity to rehearse with one of Germany’s leading youth orchestras—the Young Wind Philharmonic of Saxony during the school day. Later in the evening, the Young Wind Philharmonic of Saxony and IWU Wind Ensemble joined forces for a special performance! This experience for GHS Wind Ensemble was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and had a tremendous impact on our music department.
